So the winning sub mission for week 1 of choosewhatidraw was from Freya who asked me to draw; Spock wearing a suit with bow tie jumping away from an exploding piano in space. In the future i will hope to get the drawings done sooner, but it was my last week at art school last week. Freya will receive a special prize as the winner of week 1. I hope you guys like the drawing it was loads of fun to draw…

So i have decided that each week the winning entry (that is the entry that I draw) will receive a prize, this is partly as an incentive to get people involved and partly just as a bit of fun. (you shouldn’t really need an incentive all you have to do is send an email).

I have also been considering that after a year (thats 52 drawings) I will hold an exhibition featuring all 52 drawings. That’s extra incentive your entry could be on the wall in a gallery.

So the entries have closed for week 1 of choosewhatidraw. I received 8 entries from various people. Not too bad for the first week. Tell your friends and hopefully we can get more people choosing what i draw. I will not announce who has chosen what i draw until the picture is completed. Hopefully i will get it done in the next couple of days (but it is my last week at art school so it might take a bit longer). So stay tuned to see the first piece of work for choosewhatidraw. Also as a bonus, the person with the winning entry will receive a prize. So if you entered Week 1 stay extra tuned to see if you won. Hi there everyone. For those who don’t know me, my name is Jake Holmes or Jake One. I am from Adelaide in South Australia. I am a screenprinter and drawer, painter, collagist and whatever else i feel like doing.
